Alta Edition. Illustrated. Condition: GOOD. Rare late 1800s Alta Edition of Charles Dickens' Classic: Bleak House. Nocopyright date. Published by Porter and Coates, Philadelphia. There is a handsome full-page illustration opposite the title page. This is a much rarer Alta Edition; the more common version features a floral embossed design on the cover and a diagonal box with 'ILLUSTRATED' on the binding; this version of the Alta Edition has a much more interesting cover, w/ spiky leaves. The book is in good condition for its age.
